Using PTS Toolkit 2000 on International versions of Windows

PTS Toolkit 2000 is written for the following English versions of Microsoft Windows products:
f& Windows 95 (requires significant service f& Windows NT 4 (service pack 6 required)
packs and updates)
f& Windows 2000
f& Windows 98
f& Windows XP
f& Windows ME
PTS Toolkit 2000 may not operate correctly on a PC installed with a language other than English
Known issues.
1. Interpretation of numbers. PTS is an English product, using a . (full stop) as a decimal point, for
instance. PTS Toolkit will try and use  regional settings on the PC to translate but if problems
persist then please switch to English numerical representation.
2. Menus may appear in English and local language. Widespread use of common components means
that some dialogs, menus etc. may appear in a mixture of English and local language.
3. On Japanese, Chinese and Korean language versions of Windows PTS Toolkit may not operate
correctly due to the use of  double byte character sets . A solution for this for Windows 2000 and
XP is presented below:
Windows XP
In Control Panel, choose  Regional and Language Options (from classic view), then Advanced tab,
and set the language for non-Unicode programs to English:

To display non-Unicode programs in their native language
1. Open Regional Options in Control Panel.
2. On the General tab, click Set default.
3. Under Select the appropriate locale, select the language version of non-Unicode programs
that will be used.
For PTS Toolkit 2000, choose English.
