HomeRun
o
Make sure that HomeRun has been tested for every possible movement
path.
o
The HomeRun function is programmable. Default setting is only to Allow
HomeRun in manual mode. The programmer can decide to Allow
HomeRun in Auto mode, or disable all the HomeRun.
Path Recovery option is not compatible with RobotWare Plastics Mould and
RobotWare DieCast since it interferes with HomeRun.
RobotWare Plastics Mould 4.0 and RobotWare DieCast 4.0 do not include
background task as default. When the robot stops, there is no RAPID running, so
the station status and all the tool status will not be updated automatically.
Continue function. After errors such as the Timeout, instruction stops in the
synchronized linkprocedure or toolmethod, it’s not possible to continue production
directly. Only HomeRun can be available.
This RobotWare Plastics Mould and RobotWare DieCast version is not
compatible with previous versions. To upgrade, contact your ABB contact person.
C-Start can not delete the RobotWare Plastics Mould and RobotWare DieCast
additional options. Instead, manually delete the entire RobotWare Plastics Mould
or RobotWare DieCast folder before download a new system to the controller.

Changes in functionality
This section describes the changes that have been made between releases of
RobotWare Plastics Mould and RobotWare DieCast.
New Functions in RW Plastics Mould 4.0 and RW DieCast 4.0
New functions:
Stop After Cycle
Combined Tool method and Link Procedures
Remote control commands
Some internal status have been opened
Advanced mode
Customized HomeRun
Cell Paths
Run-time performance improvement
All the Plastics and DieCast messages start with “Pla&Die”. So it is easy to
distinguish Plastics and DieCast message windows from the RobotWare message
windows.
For more new functions and details see the Operating manual - Plastics Mould and
DieCast and Application manual – Plastics Mould and DieCast.
Known Bugs
1. When robot stops at the In section of the Main Path of the second station, robot will
not go to the exit point of the second station but go directly to the entry point of the
first station during HomeRun. In this situation, it is recommended that the user adds
function of the “Customize HomeRun” to replace the default HomeRun in this version.

Fixed Position Events
When using the IMM in cycle, you need to simulate the IMM IO signal dynamically
based on the machine logic. Otherwise robot will run only one cycle even you set
the production continuously.
To run the cycle continuously, remove LK1_SetMldClose from the position logic.
