Fiona: We can but the train will not wait for me. And I can’t take the next train if I want to

meet Joanna. She booked the restaurant for seven and I don’t want to be late.

Girl: I’m very happy that Chris and Jack are coming on Saturday.

Boy: Me too. I hope they won’t be very tired after the flight. I’d like to take them to the club

on Saturday night.

Girl: I know they like dancing but I don’t think it’s a good idea. Remember that they are

flying from America and there is a time difference. I’m sure they’ll need rest.

Boy: You’re right. A family dinner with our parents will be enough then.

Girl: Yes. And we can go to the disco on Sunday.

Boy: OK. And we’ve planned to take them to the outdoor adventure centre on Monday.

Girl: But it’s closed on Monday and I’m afraid that Chris had a broken arm not long ago so

I think it would be too much for him.

Boy: Oh, yes. Why don’t we go to the science museum then? There is a new exhibition of

those strange machines.

Girl: Great! I’m sure they’ll love that.

Boy: Do you remember, they were very interested in our sports centre. Do you think they

would like to go there?

Girl: Good idea. They both like swimming so let’s go there on Tuesday.

Boy: Fine. And we’ll plan what to do after that when they come.

Hello everyone! Before you get on the coach I’d like to give you some information about the

plans for today. First we’re going to the city centre to visit the historical town hall and walk

around the market square. There are lots of small boutiques and souvenir shops so you can do

some shopping there. Afterwards you will have lunch in the park. I’ve got packed lunches for

everyone so you won’t have to look for a restaurant. Then we will spend about two hours

walking along the river and admiring the mountains. We’re planning to be back at the hotel

just in time for dinner. Does anyone have any questions?
