TAPESCRIPT
Speaker A:
I’m really pessimistic about the future because I
don’t think enough people care about the planet.
Look at all the rubbish we throw away every day
and all the pollution of the air and water. And I
don’t think the government does enough either.
Speaker B:
I’m sure that we will all soon have computers
at home to do our cooking and our cleaning.
Wouldn’t that be fantastic? Imagine, you wake
up and your coffee is already on the table! We’d
have much more time for our hobbies then.
Speaker C:
I think that English will soon be the only
language. It’s already very important for business
and travel. If you speak English, you know that
you’ll be OK wherever you go and you’ll always
be able to get a good job.
Speaker D:
I’m sure that we’ll all live to be a hundred. We’ll
take lots of pills to keep us young and we’ll
continue to work until we’re in our seventies.
It’d be great to live so long, don’t you agree?
Only if we’re healthy of course.
Speaker E:
I predict that people will live on the moon before
the end of this century. If the population of the
planet continues to increase, it will be the only
solution, don’t you think? I must admit I can’t
quite imagine it, but anything’s possible and
scientists are making so much progress with
space travel.
