(burned) vegetable oils; -the obtained biofuel is biodegradable and 
represents a renewable source of energy. The institute is looking for 
partners such as industrial fi rms for technology transfer, also off er-
ing technical consultancy.

A German start-up company has developed a heat integrated 
distillation column coupled with a new method for cooling and au-
tomatizing the distillation process. The system possiblies allows for

distillates with a low boiling point or seawater desalination. The 
company searches industry partners and/or institutes for further 
development and application of the technology.

novel pollution free alternative energy sources has developed a 
special turbine which is able to produce electricity when connected 
to an external alternator and heat at the same time. This turbine 
is non conventional since it is doing work for free when the pump 
necessary to launch the turbine has been disconnected. The com-
pany is looking for a license agreement or a joint-venture.

Heat-Exchanger Working with Poultry Droppings

A small Italian company has invented a new machinery able to 
generate heat from poultry droppings, avoiding air and ground 
pollution. The machinery is a heat-generator that burns the poultry 
droppings, which no longer pollute water sheets. The company is

and commercialisation of this machine.

Nanoporous Silicon Hydrid: A New Solid Hydrogen Source

Hydrogen is an ideal element to generate energy. Its storage is a

An Innovative Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Solution 
to Generate Energy from Fatty By-Products

A French company has developed an innovative solution to 
transform fatty by-products into electricity and heat. First the by-
products are treated to extract the fat. Fat is then transformed into 
biofuel and a cogeneration-set generates electricity and heat. The

ucts in the meat industry. The company is looking for commercial

DJF Tech Trans (www.djftechtrans.dk) arrangerer i samarbejde med Agro Business Park en kon-
taktbørs for planteproduktionsbranchen.

Arrangementet løber af stabelen den 9. juni 2009 sideløbende med Skandinaviens største have-
brugs-, teknologi og maskinudstilling “HorTeaM-ExPo 2009” (www.horteam-expo.dk) i Årslev, hvor 
der vil være udstillere fra både ind- og udland.

Temaet for kontaktbørsen er “Automation in Organic Plant Production” og inkluderer præsenta-
tioner af idékoncepter til fremtidig samarbejde samt information om muligheden for at få arrang-
eret individuelle møder med forskerne, som udstiller på HorTeaM-ExPo 2009.
