Full Lesson – Hey Jude – The Beatles
In the key of F (Dm)
Hi, I hope you enjoyed the video. This song is very simple, but the
trickiest bits are the F and Bb bar chords. If you already are familiar
with bar chords then you will find this easy, but if you are learning
them for the first time you might find them challenging at first. Be
patient and practice changing between the chords quickly and
smoothly. Your hands will get stronger as you practice them.
(Remember what I said about wrist positions) Follow the sequence
below and you should be fine! I hope you really enjoy playing this
song.
Sequence
Part 1 a + b
Part 1 a + b
Part 2 a + b
Part 2 a + b + end of verse chords
Part 1 a + b
Part 2 a + b
Part 2 a + b + end of verse chords
Part 1 a + b + extra bar of F
Part 3 - keep repeating until END
Below are the ‘end of verse chords’. Remember to just play one strum
on each of these chords.
Here is the strumming pattern that I suggest for this song.
Here are the chord diagrams. These are not displayed in any
particular order but they will help you learn the chords.
Here are the chords we use for part 3.
Have fun! Play everything you learn to your friends and family!
See you in the next Lesson.
