Shimano® Curado®D , Citica®D and Cruxis™ Levelwind System Upgrade Tutorial
This step-by-step tutorial is provided to assist in the levelwind upgrade of Curado® CU200DPV,CU200DHSV, Citica® CI200D, CI200DPV
and Cruxis™ CRX200 reels
.
Upgrades are only necessary if you experience a clicking sound or binding in the retrieve in your new reel.
The procedure should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Please exercise caution and use safety glasses when using hand tools.

Citica ® CI200D and CI200DPV
Curado® CU200DPV
and CU200DHSV
Tools needed to perform upgrades: Needle nose pliers, tweezers, small flathead screwdriver, and small Phillips
screwdriver.
Levelwind System Kit
Upgraded Line Guide
E-Lock
Upgraded Upper
Stabilizer Bar
Step 1: Remove Spool Assembly by rotating
Turn-key Dial located on left side plate.
Step 2: Remove Thumb Rest
Screw located on the right side
plate at the front.
Step 3: Remove
Left Thumb rest
Screw.
Step 4: Remove Thumb Rest.
Step 5: Use small flathead screwdriver to remove
Worm Shaft E-Lock.
Step 6: Remove Left Worm
Bushing (B) and Washer.
Step 8: Remove Levelwind Guard.
Step 9: Use tweezers to grasp and rotate Idle Gear 90 degrees to
disengage it from Worm Shaft. Remove worm shaft thereafter.
Step 10: Remove Pawl
Cap, Pawl and Pawl
Spacer. Replace exist-
ing Levelwind Guide
with Upgraded
Levelwind Guide.
Step 11: Install Pawl, Pawl
Spacer and Pawl Cap onto
Upgraded Levelwind Guide.
Step 12: Reinstall
Worm Shaft into
Idle Gear. Make
sure to rotate Idle
Gear 90 degrees so
that the Worm
Shaft and Idle
Gear are fully en-
gaged.
Step 13: Install
Upgraded Up-
per Stabilizer
Bar.
Step 17: Using
needle nose pli-
ers, secure Up-
graded Stabi-
lizer Bar with
E-lock.
Step 14: Re-install
Levelwind Guard.
Step 15: Reinstall Worm
Shaft Bushing (B) and
Washer.
Step 16: Use needle nose
pliers to secure Worm
Shaft, Bushing and
Washer with E-Lock.
Step 18: Reinstall Thumb Rest.
Step 19: Secure Thumb Rest with screws
(long screw on the right and short screw
on the left).
Step 20: Re-install Spool Assembly and close Left Side Plate.
The Levelwind Upgrade is now complete!
Step 7: Remove Upper
Stabilizer Bar
