Changing Halogen Lamps
When fitting replacement or upgraded headlamp bulbs, its important that no grease from the
fingers is allowed to contaminate the glass envelope of the bulb. Grease will cause hot
spots, resulting in black marks and premature failure of bulbs due to overheating. If you
touch the glass envelope, use methalated spirits or IPA cleaning fluid to fully remove any
grease reside.

Ignition on
With Ignition on and selector in P, the Day
Time Running Relay coil is energised, the
coil is in series with the main beam lamps.
(Not enough current flows to light the Main
Beam).
The contact on the relay connects the
Dipped Beam lamps in series, hence re-
ducing the power of each lamp by half.
