Cutting:
Cut  2  cap  pieces  =  2  circles,  each
with  30  cm  (12")  Ø,  including  seam
allowances. Cut  out  hole  for  head
(=  circle  with  14  cm/  5

Sewing:
Lay  satin  bias  tape  over  edge  of
hole cut in lower cap piece and pin
in place, turning ends of bias tape
under.  Edgestitch  bias  tape  in 
place.  Lay  cap  pieces  together,
right  sides  facing.  Stitch  together
around outer edge. Finish edges of
seam  allowances  together.  Turn
cap  right  side  out.  Press  outer 
(seamed) edge. Lay satin ribbon in
a  bow.  Sew  bow  over  turned-
under ends of bias tape. Pin brooch
to center of bow.
