LALALOOPSY TYPE DOLL PATTERN

MEASUREMENTS

Approximately 14 inches standing.

MATERIALS :

1 skein of light brown yarn for hair, 1 skein flesh color yarn for face and body, 1 skein of bright orange
yarn for dress and flowers, 1 skein of red yarn for dress ruffle and flowers, 1 skein of pink yarn for boots
and flowers, 1 skein white yarn and 1 skein of black yarn for leggings. I usually use RED HEART Super
Saver yarn, but any brand will do as long as they're all the same weight.

Doll: Size 3.5 mm (U.S. E or 4) crochet hook. Stuffing. 2 large black buttons for eyes I used 23 mm. Small
amount of black yarn for mouth. Small amount of black ribbon for eyelashes. 2 small peices of pink felt
for cheeks, and 1 small peice of red felt for heart on legging.

Dress and Panties: Size 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) crochet hook.

INSTRUCTIONS :

DOLL :

Head: With Hair colour, ch 2.

1st rnd: 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc around. 16 sc.

3rd rnd: *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * around. 24 sc.

4th rnd: *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from * around. 32 sc.

5th rnd: *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Rep from * around. 40 sc.

6th rnd: *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. Rep from * around. 48 sc.

7th rnd: *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 5 sc. Rep from * around. 56 sc.

8th rnd: *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 6 sc. Rep from * around. 64 sc.

9th rnd: *2sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 7 sc. Rep from * around. 72 sc.

10th-15th rnds: 1 sc in each sc around. Join Flesh Color in last sc.

16th -27th rnds: With Flesh Color, 1 sc in each sc around.

28th rnd: *Dec over next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 7 sc. Rep from * around. 64 sc.

29th rnd: *Dec over next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 6 sc. Rep from * around. 56 sc.

While the opening is still big enough, now is a good time to sew on button eyes and mouth.

32nd rnd: *Dec over next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Rep from * around. 32 sts.

33rd rnd: *Dec over next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from * around. 24 sts. Stuff Head.

34th rnd: *Dec over next 2 sc. 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * around. 16 sts.

35th rnd: *Dec over next 2 sts. Rep from * around. Finish stuffing and fasten off.

Body: With Flesh Color, ch 30. Join witl sl st to first sc.

1st rnd: 1 sc in each ch around. 30 sc.

Rep 1st rnd rnd until work from beg measures 1.5 ins.

Next rnd: *Dec over next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Rep from * around. 24 sts.

Next rnd: 1 sc in each st around.

Rep last rnd until work from beg measures 3 ins.

Next rnd: *Dec over next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from * around. 18 sts.

Next rnd: 1 sc in each sc around.

Rep last rnd twice more. Fasten off.

Sew bottom edge of Body closed with a whip stitch. Stuff Body.

Arms (make 2).

With Flesh color, ch 2.

1st rnd: 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc around. 10 sc.

3rd rnd: 1 sc in each sc around.

4th rnd: 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. 1 tr in next sc (thumb). 1 sc in each of last 5 sc. 10 sc.

5th rnd: 1 sc in each st around.

6th rnd: (Dec over next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc) twice. 8 sts.

7th rnd: 1 sc in each st around.

Rep last rnd until Arm from beg measures 4.5 ins. Fasten off. Stuff Arms lightly.

Legs (make 2).

Boot: With Pink, ch 5.

1st rnd: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each of next 2 ch. 3 sc in last ch. Do not turn. Working in rem
loops of foundation ch, 1 sc in each of next 2 ch. 2 sc in last ch. 10 sc.

2nd rnd: 2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 2 sc in each of next 3 sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 2 sc in
each of last 2 sc. 16 sc.

3rd rnd: 2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. 2 sc in each of next 4 sc. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. 2 sc in
each of next 3 sc. 24 sc.

4th rnd: 1 sc in each sc around.

5th rnd: 1 sc in each of next 7 sc. (Dec over next 2 sc) 3 times. 1 sc in each sc to end of rnd. 21 sts.

6th rnd: 1 sc in each of next 6 sc. (Dec over next 2 sc) 3 times. 1 sc in each sc to last 2 sc. Dec over last 2
sc. 17 sts.

7th rnd: 1 sc in each of next 5 sc. (Dec over next 2 sc) 3 times. 1 sc in each sc to end of rnd. 14 sts.

8th rnd: 1 sc in each st around.

Rep last rnd until Leg from bottom of Shoe measures 3 ins. Break Pink yarn and join Black to first sc of
next rnd. Sc around for 2 rnds. Break Black yarn and join White to first sc of next rnd. Sc around for 2
rnds. Continue alternating Black and White stripes until leg from bottom of shoe measures 5.5 ins.
Fasten off.

Stuff Legs. Sew top of Legs closed using whip st. Sew to bottom of Body. Attach Arms to sides of Body
and body to head.

HAIR

I have worked chains from 20 to 35 stitches and than worked 3 hdc or 3 dc in one chain. Make several of
each length. I make a few at a time and sew the to the head as I go so I don't make too many. Position
curls as desired on head and insert hook. Pull the tail through and tie a square knot with both ends. Hide
ends in the head. I do this in 3 layers. One at the base of the hair line, one in the middle and one at the
crown. Now your doll will start looking more like LalaLopsy and less like an alien! High Five!

DRESS

Note: Dress is worked from top down.

With Orange and larger hook, ch 30. Join with sl st to first ch.

1st rnd: 2 sc in same sp as sl st. *1 sc in next ch. Miss next 2 ch. 1 sc in next ch. 3 sc in next ch. Rep from
* 4 times more. 1 sc in next ch. Miss next 2 ch. 1 sc in last ch. 1 sc in first sl st (where you joined your ch
30).

2nd rnd: Working in back loops only, 3 sc in first sc. *1 sc in next sc. Miss next 2 sc. 1 sc in next sc. 3 sc in

next sc. Rep from * 4 times more. 1 sc in next sc. Miss next 3 sc. 1 sc in last sc.

3rd rnd: Working in back loops only, 5 sc in first sc. *1 sc in next sc. Miss next 2 sc. 1 sc in next sc. 5 sc in
next sc. Rep from * 4 times more. 1 sc in next sc. Miss next 2 sc.

4th rnd: Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 3 sc in next sc. *1 sc in each of next 2 sc.
Miss next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 3 sc in next sc. Rep from * 4 times more. 1 sc in each of next 2
sc. Miss last sc.

5th to 9th rnds: Miss first sc. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 3 sc in next sc. *1 sc in
each of next 2 sc. Miss next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 3 sc in next sc. Rep from * 4 times more. 1 sc
in each of next 2 sc. Miss last sc.

10th rnd: Miss first sc. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 5 sc in next sc. *1 sc in each
of next 2 sc. Miss next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 5 sc in next sc. Rep from * 4 times more. 1 sc in
each of next 2 sc. Miss next sc.

11th to 14th rnds: Miss first sc. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. 3 sc in next sc. *1 sc
in each of next 3 sc. Miss next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. 3 sc in next sc. Rep from * 4 times more. 1
sc in each of next 3 sc. Miss next sc.

Break Orange. Join Red.

15th rnd: Miss first sc. Working in front loops only, with Red, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. 3 sc in next sc. *1
sc in each of next 3 sc. Miss next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. 3 sc in next sc. Rep from * 4 times more.
1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Miss next sc. Join with sl st to first sc.

16th rnd: Sl st to back loop of second sc in 15th rnd. Working in back loops only, ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc
in same sp as sl st. *2 dc in next sc. Rep from *around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. Fasten off.

Join Red in any stitch at the back of the TOP of LalaLoopsy's dress. 1 sc in each st around.

Straps: (make 2). With 2 strands of Red, ch 8. Fasten off.

Try dress on Doll. Attach each strap at points of top edge.

PANTIES: With Orange and larger hook, ch 14. Join with sl st to first ch. Ch 14. Join with sl st to same ch
as last sl st.

1st rnd: 1 Sc in each sc around.

2nd-5th rnds: 1 sc in each sc around.

6th rnd: *1 sc in each of next 5 sc. Dec. Repeat from * around. Join Red with sl st to first sc in rnd 7.

7th rnd: With Red (Sl st. {this is your join. Ch 3. 1 dc) in first sc. *Miss next sc. (Sl st. Ch 3. 1 dc.) in next
sc. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to same sp as first sl st. Fasten off.

Leg opening edging: With Larger hook, join Red with sl st to any remaining loop of foundation ch. (Ch 3.
1 Dc.) in first sc. * Miss next sc. (Sl st. Ch 1. 1 Dc.) in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to
same sp as first sl st. Fasten off.

FLOWERS: (make 2 with Red, 2 with Orange and 2 with Pink). Ch 2.

1st rnd: Using smaller hook, 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc.

2nd rnd: *Working in back loops only, ch 3. Sl st in next sc. Rep from * around, ending with ch 3. Join
with sl st to first st. (7 petals). Fasten off.

Sew 1 Red Flower on Dress. Position remaining 5 flowers as desired on top of the head and sew along
crown to cover up joins.

FINISHING: Cut 2 circles out of pink felt. Sew or hot glue to cheeks. Cut 2 small pieces of black ribbon
(approximately 1 inch long) and cut a V in 1 end. I apply a small amount of clear nail polish to this end to
keep ribbon from fraying. When it's dry, hot glue peice under button eye (just above middle of eye). Cut
a small heart out of Red Felt and glue or sew to knee. Attatch Pink yarn to any stitch at top of boot.
*Ch.3. Sl st in next sc. Repeat from * around. YOU'RE DONE!!!!! Give her a hug!!
