Pay attention to the word order in these two groups of sentences.
Thomas and Philip always
begin
their day at 7 o’clock.
They usually
have
their breakfast at the canteen.
They often
play
music during the breaks.
They never
go
home on weekdays.
PATTERN:
subject + adverb + verb
Thomas and Philip
are
always busy at school.
They
are
never late for their activities.
They
are
usually ready for breakfast at 7 o’clock.
They
can
often stay in the music room during the breaks.
PATTERN:
subject + to be/modal verb + adverb
Insert the adverb of frequency in the right place.
Example:
We are happy at school. (always)
We are always happy at school.
