Suggested Teaching Method
Before giving out this worksheet, put students into pairs, and ask them to think of problems with a major
city that they know. Elicit some feedback at the end.
Finally, give out the worksheet and ask students to follow the instructions for exercise one.
Follow the instructions on the sheet. Do two sentences as examples. Students should work alone, and
then check in pairs.
Suggested Teaching Method
There’s too much pollution in the city.
There aren’t enough trees in the city.
There is too much traffic in the city.
There isn’t enough public transport in the countryside.
There aren’t enough shops in the countryside.
Additional Idea
A good oral drill for this is to say a word associated with this topic, and get students to make a
sentence using ‘not enough’ or ‘too much/many’.
