Pattern diagram:
Follow the diagram to make a full-
sized pattern piece for the skirt
piece (a). Then draw the lower
underskirt piece (b) ranging from
approx. 9 to 12 cm (31D 2" to 43D 4")
shorter than the skirt piece. Finally,
draw the upper underskirt piece
(c), angling in to again 10 cm (4")
shorter on the front edge.
Seam and hem allowances:
1 cm (3D 8") on all seams and edges.
Cutting:
Burda sizes 36/38, 40/42 a) Skirt piece, on fold 1x
Skirt length, measured at center b) Lower overskirt piece, on fold 1x
back: 65 cm (253D 4") c) Upper overskirt piece, on fold 1x
Materials: Sewing:
Linen fabric, 150 cm (59") wide: On linen skirt piece and on
1.00 (11D 8 yds). upper overskirt piece, round off pieces facing up. Baste upper
Chiffon, 150 cm (59") wide: hem corners. On all skirt pieces, edges together.
1.70 m (17D 8 yds). trim allowances on front and hem Lay bias tape over upper edge
