Standard Installation Procedure (MATLAB Installation Guide for Windows) MATLAB Installation Guide for Windows     Running the Uninstaller Noninteractively You can run the uninstaller noninteractively. In this mode, you create an uninstaller initialization file, specifying the root directory of the installation you want to remove and the specific products you want to remove. To run the uninstaller noninteractively, perform these steps: Create an uninstaller initialization file. The MathWorks provides a template for this file, named uninstaller.ini, located in the uninstall subdirectory of your MATLAB installation directory. Make a copy of this template file, giving it any name you want. copy $MATLAB\uninstall\uninstaller.ini C:\temp\my_uninstall.ini Edit your copy of the uninstaller initialization file, providing information for all the requested fields, using this syntax: parameter=value For example, enter the installation directory as follows: directory=D:\matlab6p5 The uninstaller initialization file template includes all the parameters you can enter, with examples. Note    You must enter information for all required parameters. If your initialization file is missing a required field, the uninstaller displays the dialog box that queries for the needed information as in a typical interactive installation and waits for a response. After you enter this information, the uninstaller will continue running noninteractively. Save your changes to the file. Run the uninstaller (uninstall.exe), using the -if flag to specify the initialization file as a command line argument. For example, at the MS-DOS command prompt, enter uninstall.exe -if C:\temp\my_uninstall.ini You must specify the full pathname of the initialization file.   Running the Uninstaller Saving Your MATLAB Preferences
