Talking about holidays
TEACHER S NOTES:
Aim: to provide further practice of talking about future holidays. This
worksheet is designed to be used in conjunction with unit 10.
Time: 30-40 minutes
Materials: copy of the worksheet for each student
1 Students work in pairs and choose a destination that they both like. The
students write a plan for their holiday using going to. Monitor to check
that they use going to correctly and also check if they need help with any
vocabulary.
2 Students then ask other pairs about their planned holidays and fill in the
information in the tables.
3 Students write descriptions of the holidays they found out about. At this
point ask for class feedback. Encourage students to ask questions about
other pairs holidays.
