Muscle Testing (T-0094)
Pronator Quadratus

Patient position:
Supine or sitting with the elbow held against
the patient s side, or stabilized by the
examiner to avoid any shoulder abduction
movement.
The forearm is maximally pronated and the
elbow maximally flexed in order to make the
humeral head of the pronator teres less
effective by being in a shortened position.
Examiner pressure:
At the lower forearm, above the wrist, in the
direction of supination.
