This
page can be used to locate a specific color in a commercial color
card or collection. Usually commercial colors (paint, inks etc.)
are identified by code and/or name (for example: code 5023, name
PINK SHADOW). Once a color is properly located in the desired collection,
its RGB data can be stored in the color clipboard and made available for the calculator,
match and harmonies functions.Keep
in mind that color can be searched inserting the complete code or
name, or simply inserting a part of it. For example inserting "PINK"
in the entry field will result in displaying all colors with this
name
in their description (PINK SHADOW, PINKISH BLOOM, SUNNY PINK...).Similarly
inserting part of the code, as for example "5G", will result in all
the color codes containing this character string (2.5G2/10, 2.5G3/10, 2.5G4/8...).

Main area


This is the area where the code/name matching colors
are displayed. 16 Colors are displayed at a time. Using
the navigation buttons is possible to sequentially visualize
all the exceeding results.

Step 1


Insert in the proper entry filed the code or name (or just
part of it) you are looking for.




 




Step 2


Select the color collection to be searched from the
list available immediately below the entry field. The
search can take several seconds to be completed.




 




Step 3


If more than 16 colors matching your entry have been
found, the navigation buttons will be displayed. Use
these buttons to view all the resulting colors (grouped
in pages containing 16 colors each).




 




Step 4


Once your specific color has been located, click
on it to transfer its data to the color clipboard. This
allows to visualize RGB details and transfer data to
the calculator, harmonies and match functions.
