PeerPoints allow you to send your current location information to other people using SMS text messaging. You can include the nearest address and a map image (NOTE: sending a map image requires MMS picture messaging support on sender's and receiver's phones). Garmin Mobile XT users receive the message as a PeerPoint and can save the location and route to it. Non-users receive a text message only. You can request PeerPoint information from other Garmin Mobile XT users. When you receive a PeerPoint, you are prompted to open Garmin Mobile XT. If it is already running, a message appears. You can save the PeerPoint, view it on the map, and route to it. Your phone's normal messaging fees apply.
