BLANKET:
With H Hook, you will be working a basic granny square for the blanket. It's worked in simple shell sts
with chain sts between.
1. In magic ring, work ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, then work *3 dc in ring, ch 2* 3 more times, join with sl st to
top of ch 3. Then sl st in next 2 dc and ch sp. (you will always finish each round with sl st in next 2 dc
and ch sp) So you will always begin and end in a corner ch sp.
2. ch 3, 2 dc in ch sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp, ch 1, then work *3 dc in next ch 2 space, ch 2, 3 dc in same
sp, ch 1* repeat from * * 2 more times, join with sl st to top of ch 3. (this will give you 4 corners)
Continue same pattern putting (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in each corner and 3 dc, in each ch 1 space along sides
with a ch 1 between shell sts.
Start with Yellow
Rounds 1-3 Yellow
Rounds 4-9 Cherry Red
Rounds 10-13 Yellow
Border with Cherry Red
Work sc around entire blanket with 3 sc in each corner.
Bind off and weave in all ends.
NOTE: If you want a larger blanket, just continue making rounds until you reach your desired size.
However, you may want to increase your hook size by 1 for all parts to make them proportionate in
size.
PUTTING HIM ALL TOGETHER...
Sew head to blanket using front loops of round 22 of head.
Sew arms to sides of head.
Sew legs to bottom of blanket as desired.
Embroider a mouth and eyebrows as you like.
Weave in all ends and you are done!
