Ensure timing marks aligned [2] & [4]. 2. If cylinder head cover removed: Ensure camshaft sprocket rear timing mark aligned (11 ]. NOTE: Notch aligned with upper cylinder head face. 3. Fit timing belt in anti-clockwise direction, starting at crankshaft sprocket. 4. Turn tensioner anti-clockwise until it touches stop. Use wrench Matra V.159 (9). 5. Release tension until marks align exactly [10]. NOTE: Engine must he cold. 6. Tighten tensioner nut. Tightening torque: 25 Nm [8]. 7. Turn crankshaft two turns clockwise. Ensure timing marks aligned [2] & [4]. 8. Check tensioner marks aligned [10]. 9. If not: Repeat tensioning procedure. 10. Apply firm thumb pressure to belt at^. Tensioner marks must move apart [10]. 11. Release thumb pressure from belt at^. 12. Turn crankshaft two turns clockwise. Ensure timing marks aligned [2] & [4]. 13. Tensioner marks should realign [10]. 14. Install components in reverse order of removal. 15. Tighten crankshaft pulley bolts. Tightening torque: 20 Nm [5]. NOTE: Crankshaft pulley holt holes are offset. 11302 J
