Toolbar
The main toolbar contains icons, each representing a tool to create or edit
a part of your model.
FLAC/SLOPE runs as a two stage process. The first stage defines the model
in geometric terms. The second stage begins when the model is meshed into
zones. (This process is contrary to the full FLAC-GIIC which works directly
on a zoned model.) The geometry stage can be considered to work like a
preprocessor to FLAC for specialized problems such as slopes.
Geometry Stage
Bound
- define slope outer boundary
Layers
- define tables for internal boundaries between materials.
Material
- assign materials to regions defined by
Interface - create an interface
in model.
Apply - apply boundary conditions
to top.
Bolt
- add bolt elements.
Water
- add water table
Gravity -
set gravity.
Mesh - create mesh and move
to stage 2.
Mesh Stage
Geom - return to geometry
stage
SolveFoS
- start solve Factor of Safety process
PlotFoS
- plot failure state in FoS
Note: You can hide the toolbar and show the tools as separate menus to
increase viewing size via the Show/Tools menu. All the toolbar operations
are accessible through the Tools menu.
