Aim: to practise and consolidate key vocabulary; people. This warmer
is designed to be used in conjunction with unit 6.
Time: 30-40 minutes
Materials: copy of the worksheet for each student
1 Students think of four famous people and write their names and
nationalities. They also write their jobs if they can. They then use
the adjectives in the box to describe each person in more detail.
2 Students work with a partner and read out their description of each
person without saying the name. Students try to guess who each
person is.
3 Students further refine their descriptions together by writing
sentences about the people using not very, very and quite.
