Beads Used:
Size 11/0 Seed Beads and 3 mm crystals
Main color (rust mix) - MC
Contrast color (gold) - C
Crystals 3mm  deep brown

" Begin by stringing 12 C beads
" Tie one overhand knot between the beads to secure

" String one 3mm bead, and pass thread thru bead #7 as shown in
diagram above

" String one MC bead #13  pass thread from left thru to right of bead
#7 (this forms the first picot)

" Pass thread thru bead #6 as shown in diagram above
" String one MC bead #14
" Pass thread thru from left to right of bead #6 (this forms the second
picot)
" Continue forming picots all the way around
" Secure with one overhand knot at the end
" Glue thread ends and cut thread close to base of bead
" Glue to earring back and voila you have finished your first starburst
earring.
