Removing:
Note:
Removing and installing ribbed belt (6-cylinder
engine) Repair Manual, "General Engine,"
Repair Group 13.
- Detach complete front bumper/grille assembly
(service position) Repair Manual, Body
Exterior, Repair Group 50 and 63.
CAUTION!
Mark running direction of ribbed belt before
removing (if belt is installed in the opposite
running direction, belt damage may result).
- Loosen both hex socket bolts -A-.
Installing:
- Position ribbed belt over drive pulleys and check for correct position.
- Using torque wrench using ( illustration) and tension ribbed belt via
tensioner pulley in direction of arrow to 25 Nm (18 ft lb).
- Tighten both hex socket bolts -A- to 20 Nm (15 ft lb).
