Procedure
1 Ask pupils what the weather is like today. If it is cold, ask what clothes they wear to help with the cold (a scarf, a
hat, etc.) If it is hot, ask what clothes they wear to keep them cool (sandals, a T-shirt, a sunhat, etc.)
2 Distribute the worksheets. Ask pupils to look at the pictures and tell you what the weather is like in each picture.
3 Read the words in the Word Bank aloud and check pupils understand the meaning.
4 Read the first sentence aloud, encouraging pupils to call out words from the Word Bank to fill in the gaps. Pupils
continue the exercise individually or in pairs, reading the sentences carefully and choosing words from the Word
Bank. Check by reading the sentences aloud together.
