Reading
8 Read and underline the correct answer, a), b) or c).
Summerhill is a small boarding school in the east of England. It has educated students from all over the world since 1923. The founder of Summerhill, A. S. Neill, believed in democratic or `free' education. By this, he meant that children should have the freedom to make decisions for themselves. Summerhill students Takeshi and Margit agree.
Takeshi: `I'm sixteen and I'm from Japan. I've been at Summerhill since I was nine. It's so different from Japanese schools, where school rules are very strict. Here students and teachers have meetings every week, and we talk about rules that we agree or don't agree with. Every student of whatever age can say what he or she thinks, and then vote to decide what to do. It's fantastic.'
Margit: `I'm twelve and I'm from Germany. I've been here for five years and I know that some people think we never go to lessons, but it isn't true. We study all the `normal' school subjects from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock every day. We don't have to go to classes if we don't want to, but most students go because they like learning new things. I love science and languages, and I never miss a physics or Chinese lesson.'

Writing
11 Underline six mistakes in the language-learning advice blog.
I'm Alex and I am coming from Hungary. I love music and I've learnt all my English by listening to English songs. I listen the songs again and again, and read and re-read the words. I also look up new words in an online dictionary and practise the pronunsiashun. Then I am singing the songs while I'm listening. My English isn't perfekt but the singers make a lot of grammar mistakes on the English songs!
