Aims of the lesson:

• to involves students in different kinds of activities related with the topic

• to learn new vocabulary

• to give extensive and intensive reading and speaking practise

Teaching aids: blackboard, pictures, copybook

1. Lexical: - names of animals

Procedures	Aims	Interaction	Time
Teacher comes to the class, says “hello” and asks how they feel. Then checks the list.	- to introduce lesson - to encourage students to speak	T-C T-S	4'
T starts by writing the word "Animals" on the board. Then add some others words related to animals and links with the original word as if it were a cross-word. T gives pupils five minute to work in pairs and see how many words they can link up(all the words must be on the theme of animals).	- to introduce new vocabulary -to stimulate creativity	T-C S-S	6'
Pupils read and listen to the sound bites and then match them with the picture. Then, they compare their answers and express their points of view.	- to match the photos of an animals with the text	T-S S1,S2,..	10'
Teacher asks the pupils to read the text about animals and decide if sentences are true or false. Then, teacher compares the pupils opinion and asks them to prove their rights.	- to make students speak about the topic	S-S	10'
T tells the pupils to ask questions about animals. T puts pupils into pairs or groups of three. In a group of three there will be two pupils asking question and the third one will answer them. T helps pupils with the language they need to express themselves. Pupils perform to the class.	- to make up short questions, students speak about the topic	T-C	12`
Homework Students have to learn names of countries and nationalities by heart to the test.	- to prepare students to the incoming test	T-C	3`
