Joshua's adventures - dla maturzystów

The instruction is very simple. You should start reading the story. In the text you will find 9 tasks. As you find the first one in the text, go the the right exercise and solve the problem. Then back to the story and continue reading. This activity will repeat till the end of the story.     Joshua had another bad day. He overslept. Again. He didn't eat his breakfast, he didn't read the morning paper. He couldn't find his car keys. When he finally did, it occurred that his car had a flat tyre. As the bus had already gone he had to call the taxi. The taxi driver was listening to the radio very loud and unfortunately commenting on every news he heard. At work it didn't go better at all. Tones of reports to write, thousands calls to make, millions e-mails to answer. It was too much for him. He decided to take a five-week holiday. As he took the decision he felt better. Coming back home he was thinking about his outstanding leave. Yes, that is right he didn't have holiday for many years! Then one thing crossed his mind, a journey. He had some money saved so he could go somewhere. 'Why not', he thought, 'I will spend this time travelling!' As soon as he got home he started planning. At first he called the tourist agency and ask for a proper offer (task 1). A trip to Italy sounded perfect, Spain was very tempting and Greece was the trip of his dreams. 'It isn't so simple, I do not know what to choose.', he thought. Finally he made the decision - Italy. But then another problem occurred, he wasn't sure how to get there. At first he called the airport (task 2), then the bus station (task 3) and finally the train station (task 4). After another few hours he was sure about the means of transport. he called again (task 5) and it was all set. He was leaving for two-week holiday to Italy. The last thing was to pack all necessary things and to buy the ones missing (task 6). However the journey was long, it was quite nice. He got to the hotel in the morning. At the reception desk there was a man waiting for guests (task 7). His room was nice and spacious. He even had a TV set. During those two weeks he did many interesting things. He sunbathed, swam, visited many interesting places. One day he even had an argument in the restaurant (task 8). The time was passing fast. The last day of his holiday came and he had to come back home. On his way to the airport the managed to buy some souvenirs for closest friends (task 9). Finally he was sitting in the plane reading a newspaper. The plane landed at 7 p.m. He took a taxi and went home.
