2. Power supply (zasilanie)

—	2-2	Alternative source of power is either emergency power supply, a storage battery charged with emergency power source, or independent battery of 6 hours or more. 3. Operation (eksploatacja)
—	3-1	Ship Security Alert System is capable of being activated from the navigation bridge and in at least one other location. SSAS jest zdolny do aktywowania z mostka nawigacyjnego i jednego innego miejsca.
—	3-2	Ship Security Alert Messages solely addresses to competent authorities designated by the Administration. Wiadomość system SSAS jest adresowana to odpowiednich władz wyznaczonych przez Administrację.
—	3-3	Ship Security Alert System activation points is designed so as to prevent the inadvertent initiation of the ship security alert. It is not necessary for the user to remove seals or to break any lid or cover in order to operate any control. Punkty aktywacji system są zaprojektowane taka by uniknąć przypadkowego uruchomienia. Nie jest konieczne by użytkownik zrywał plomby lub pokrywy by przeprowadzić kontrolę.
—	3-4	The activation points operates a radio system such transmission of the security alert does not require any adjustment of the radio system, i.e. tuning of channels, setting of modes or menu options. Punkty aktywacyjne do uruchamiania system radiowego takiego jak transmisja alarmów nie wymaga żadnej regulacji systemu radiowego np. strojenia kanałów, ustawiania trybów i opcji menu.
—	3-5	Once activated, Ship Security Alert System continues to transmit the security alert until it is reset or deactivated. The interval between transmissions of the alerts is as short as possible. (e.g. between 15 minutes and one hour) Po aktywacji SSAS, nadal transmituje wiadomość alarmowe dopóki nie zostanie dezaktywowany lub zresetowany. Przerwy pomiędzy transmisją alarmów są krótkie jak to możliwe (np. 15 minutowe)
—	3-6	Operation of the activation point does not cause any alarm or indication to be raised on the ship nor alert other ships. Używanie punktów aktywacyjnych nie powoduje alarmów lub wskaźników które zostaną podniesione na statku, lub zaalarmują inne statki.
—	3-7	The operation of the ship security alert system does not impair the functionality of the GMDSS installation. Działanie SSAS nie ma wpływu na działanie systemu GMDSS.
4. Ship Security Alert (alarmy bezpieczeństwa statku)
—	4-1	Transmission initiated by security alert system activation points includes a unique code/identifier^1(ship's identity, e.g. call sign, IMO ship identification number or Maritime Mobile Service Identify (MMSI)) and ship's security alert activation indication. Transmisja zainicjowana przez punkty aktywacyjne SSAS zawiera unikalny kod/identyfikator statku (np. sygnał wywoławczy, numer identyfikacyjny IMO lub MMSI, oraz wskazanie aktywacji systemu.
—	4-2 — N/A	Where Ship Security Alert System is installed before 1 July 2004, the transmission includes the ship identity and current position (latitude and longitude). Jeżeli SSAS został zainstalowany przed 1lipca 2004, transmisja obejmuje identyfikację statku oraz obecną pozycje (szerokość i długość geograficzną)
—	4-3 — N/A	Where Ship Security Alert System is installed on or after 1 July 2004, the transmission includes the ship identity and current position (latitude and longitude) associated with a date and time. Jeżeli SSAS został zainstalowany po 1 lipca 2004, transmisja zawiera identyfikacje statku, obecną pozycję (szerokość, długość geograficzną powiązaną z datą i czasem)
—	4-4	Ship Security Alert Messages (Ship's identity, ship's position and ship's security alert activation indication) are generated automatically with no input from the operator other than security alert system activation. Wiadomości SSAS (identyfikacja statku, pozycja i wskazanie aktywacji SSAS) są generowane automatycznie, bez innej ingerencji ze strony operatora niż aktywacja systemu.
5. Installation
—	5-1	General inspection. Inspekcja ogólna.
—	5-2	Wiring (power cable and antenna cable) has been permanently installed, according to the manufacturer's instructions. Okablowanie (kabel zasilający i antenowy) został zamontowany na stałe, zgodnie z instrukcjami producenta.
—	5-3	Operation test of SSAS, the latter being activated from all activation points. Transmission of the security alert to the CSO. Przeprowadzanie testów SSAS, końcowy jest aktywowany ze wszystkich punktów aktywacji. Transmisja alarmów do oficera ochrony armatora.
6. Others
—	6-1	The Ship Security Alert System is capable of being tested. SSAS jest zdolny do testowania.
—	6-2	Operation, maintenance and installation manual provided by the manufacturer are placed onboard. Instrukcje obsługi, konserwacji i instalacji zapewniona przez producenta znajdują się na pokładzie.
—	6-3	The Master and the SSO are familiar with the operation of SSAS and, the resetting procedure, if any. Kapitan i oficer ochrony statku są zapoznani z użytkowaniem SSAS and i procedurą resetowania, jeśli to konieczne.
