Non-verbal sounds

Sighs, coughs, groans, laughs, voice vibration and other sounds we make indicate our mood, psychophysical State. During tlie coiwersation avoid actions which may suggest anxiety.

Such actions include:

•    couching

•    wriggling

•    covering the mouth with a hand

•    avoiding direct eye contact

•    rhythmic jaw clenching

•    playing with a pen

•    rubbing hands etc.
