Bag handle is a circular -braided eord, attached at the top eorners of the bag between the lining and the embroidery,
Part way down the eord the strands areseparated into two eireular eords, A litlle later eaeh of these split once morę to form a deeorative tassel,
Fold is at the bottom with the sides sewn up
The drawstrings are threaded through the materiał of the bag, through both the outside and the lining, No holes are punched, At least 8 separatestrands are used for each drawstring, these are gat her ed t oget her as t hey leave t he bag and tied to form a bundle of at least 16 strands which are then braided into a round eord,
The seams of the bag are eovered with a deeorativestiteh (seeinset), Thestiteh is composed of alternating colours, red and what might have onee been gilt, I eannot be surę how the stiteh was done, but I have re-ereated it using two needles (one for eaeh eolour) and threading eaeh eolor up through the previous stiteh and baek down, in a kind of double running stiteh, This deeorative stiteh is then worked in two lines, eaeh one up one side seam and along one edge of the opening,
The Bag is further deeorated on one side with four goldwork motifs, these are madę of eouehed gold wire laid over the silk embroidery,
