designed and every stone fitted into its place perfectly. Do you know that some of the Incas' structures and patterns have been discovered by accident?
(H): (surprised) Really? What madę the Inca empire disappear?
(D): Tm not surę. But it is interesting how they have influenced the beliefs of people of various nationalities and religions all over the world. There are the huge geometrie designs in the fields near Peru's Southern coast. They show some sea animals but they are so big you can recognise them only from an aeroplane. Many people who believe in UFOs believe that the Incas madę these signs to help spaceships find a place to land. Others believe that these drawings or images showed different positions of the sun, moon and stars at important times of the year.
(H): It really is unusual.
(D): Now Harry, get that book about the Inca cities.
It's over there. You will find a lot of information about life on the South American Continent 500 years ago.
(H): Thanks, Dad.

Kasia
!nterviewer (I): Kasia, you are one of the best Polish female vocalists. What do you think makes your songs so well received?
Kasia (K): Well, I think it's not only the sound of each song but most of all my lyrics are really emotional.
I like to tell people what I feel. Sometimes these are bitter feelings - you can be rich and have good looks but that doesn't necessarily mean that you are happy. You have to look for happiness inside yourself.
(I): Are all your songs about love?
(K): Not all. Some of them are love songs, but I also sing about anger, fear and other human emotions.
(I): Some of your songs are in English, aren't they?
(K): Yes, I sing a lot in English. I used to think that you can't possibly sing well in Polish. English simply sounds better. But, on the other hand, people would like to understand what Tm singing. Now that many people know English they understand the English lyrics as well.
(I): Kasia, do you ever feel stage fright?
(K): l've felt stage fright a lot of times, for example, when I was performing as a supporting artist before Sting's concert in Warsaw. His shows usually gather a very demanding audience. But it worked, 1 got applause from his band, and the master himself came up to me to shake my hand as if to show that he was impressed.
(I): Apart from being an artist, you are a mother, too. Have you ever written a song for your daughter?
(K): Oh, yes. One of my albums features a lullaby dedicated to her. It says 'You are this tiny bit of happiness that turns each day into a holiday.'
(I): Your fans love you, and they say that they dream of meeting you in person one day.
(K): Perhaps it will come true then.
(I): Thank you, Kasia.
(K): Thank you.
