Steps 1.2 and 3 are the same as the One-Sided Combing Technigue (see page 3).

1. ) With a fuli length paper strip, make a smali fold at one end. Place it behind the comb and hcok it over the top of prong #1. Insert paper strip be Iow prong #6. Bring it back to the top.

2. ) Fold paper back over the top of prong #1. With a toothpick or needle tool, place glue where the paper overlaps to hołd the loop in place. Press down on the glued paper strips to be surę it is secure and dry before making the next loop.

Notę: This is called the "center” loop.

*“ TIP: Try looping the paper strips near the handle. This will prevent the prongs from flexing while looping and gluing. **

3.) With the paper strip behind the ccmb_; insert the paper strip below prong #5 on the RIGHT side of the "center” loop. Bring it back to the top and place glue between the strips to form a loop.

^v* TIP: Glue after each loop to keep (hem in place. Less glue is bost! **

4.) With the paper strip behind the comb. insert or feed the paper strip below prong #5 on the LEFT side of the "center” loop. Bring it back to the top and place glue between the strips to form a leop.

5.) Continue alternating sides and gluing after each loop until the desired size is achieved.

After gluing the finał loop above prong #1, trim off any excess paper length. Remove the looped piece by sliding it off the comb.

PINK FILOWER

PETALS - Alternating Sides Como (pace 5 -Start with a fuli length PINK paper strip. Make a five-looped pelal around prcng #6, #5, and #4 using the "alternating sides" combing technique. Repeat to make the other petals.

FLOWER CENTER - 16" (40cm) Tiaht Circle Roli a BRIGHT WHITE paper strip and do not lei it uncoil. Glue the end to the roił to mąko a tight circle.

Layout the pieces like the pattern above. Glue the flower petals to the background. Then glue the stem and leaf to the flower.

TOP & SIDES - Alternating Sides Comb inaae 5) Start with a fuli length MINT GREEN paper strip. Make a five-looped leaf around prong #8. #7, and #6 using the “alternating sides’ combing technigue. Make throc “palm leaves".

BOTTOM - Alternating Sides Comb (pacie 5)

Start with a tuli length MINT GREEN paper strip. Make a five-looped leaf around prong #12. #11. and #10 using the "alternating sides” corr.bing technique.

Layout the pieces like the pattern above. Glue Iwo side palm leaves together. Then glue the top and bottem palm leaves togeiher. Place them on top of each other and glue at the intersecticn.

To make a larger cross, make the tep and side leaves using prong #10. #8_: H6 and #4. Make the bottom leaf using prongs #15. #13. #11 and #9 (see "Cross" card on the back of Ihe kit cover).
