In the first chapter, the differences between headaches and migraines are outlined, to help you to recognise which is which. In Chapter 2, differences between headache types are discussed and how these affect sonie kinds of people morę than others, women morę than men, and so on. In Chapter 3, real accounts of headaches from sufferers help us to understand what each of the main types of headache feels like. In our longest chapter, the fourth, the common and rarer causes of headaches and migraine are catalogued. The fifth chapter deals with the short- and long-term conseąuences of having headaches, and in Chapter 6 there is an outline of treatments. Following that, there is a section on hnding help and further information, and a checklist to help you to work out what kind of headache you might be experiencing. It is possible to read the chapters of the book in any order, although they have been puttogether in an order that is probably the bestif you want a coherent ‘story’ of headaches.
