Photoluminescent tape.
Gcnerally łapę is uscd for two niain dutics, way finding, as with Low Location Lighting (scc pages 3 & 4), and area identification. Area idcntificalion can assist crcw and passengers locatc emergency equipment in the cvcnt of a 'black out'. A machinery space can bc a confusing area. evcn to crew familiar with their surroundings, when all light is lost. Idcntifying telcphoncs, firc fighting equipmcnt, low deck bcams and protruding pipes. valves, hand rails. trip hazards etc. can save valuablc time and possibly lives in the evcnt of an emergency. Wherc used as part of a L.LL system installers must ensure adeąuate light is available to activate the photoluminescent materiał to attain the requircd performance.
