LUKĘ Hello, Grandad. 1'm doing a history proJect about Hilltown. Can help me?
GRANDAD Yes, I can. What do you want to know? LUKĘ My first ąuestion: When were you bom? GRANDAD In 1940.
LUKĘ OK 19... 40. Wow. Was Hilltown very smali?
Dear Gran.
Thank you for the card and the book. The book was a good idea. becuase 1‘m very bored in hospital!
It all happened on Saturday. It was sunny and windy. Sam and Jenny and 1 cycled to the park. We played football and we played with the kitę. Dooby was with us too.
1 tried my new skates. But 1 can't skate very well. and 1 crashed into a tree! There was a very nice woman at the park. and she had a phone. She phoned an ambulance. But my skates are broken - and my leg is broken too! The bad new is - I'm in hospital.
The good news is - I’m not at school. Hooray!
Lots of love Tessa
