Important: In all the above example sentences, the verb in the main clause is in the indicative; the verb following que in the dependent clause is in the subjunctive. If the subjects of the main clause and the dependent clause are the same, the infinitive is used, not the subjunctive, and que is omitted.
Me sorprende recibir su regalo. I am surprised to recewe his gift.
Quieren ir al cine. They want to go to the movies.
