STEP 7. Using the wiring diagram supplied, complete the rest of the wiring

installation in the luggage compartment under the hood.

(a)    Looking at the meter from the rear, the No. 10 (heavy wire) which was snaked in through the roof tunnel, is now connected to the lowest large terminal at the right side of the meter. To this same terminal attach another lead of No. 10 wire and connect it to No. 30 terminal on the light switch.

(b)    Take the No. 16 wire which was snaked through tunnel and connect to the extreme lower left smali terminal on the meter marked "GO".

(c)    Remove heavy red cable from terminal No. 30 on the ignition switch (which is the battery connection) and extend this wire with another piece of No. 10 wire, using an insulated metal connector and bring it over to the lowest left-hand large terminal on the meter.

(d)    Connect a piece of No. 16 wire to the gas tank unit center lug and dress along edge of compartment to connection on dash unit at smali right hand terminal marked "GT". The screw-head ground lug on the gas tank float assembly needs no wire connection as it is self-grounded to tank.

(«) Connuot a piece of No. 16 wire from' center terminal on dash unit marked "+" to terminal "15/54" on ignitio.h switch (or to corresponding fused position on the fuse błock.)    ^

(f)    ^onnect a piece of No. 16 wire from^ither ground terminal on dash unit to ground terminal on flasher unit.

(g)    Connect a piece of No. 16 wire from top center terminal of dash unit to terminal No. 58 on light switch (or to light terminal on rear of speedo-meter adjacent to dash unit.)

This completes wiring installation and if connected as above, dash unit should

function properly.

1.    With ignition key off, lights should work norm&lly, and ammeter will show discharge.

2.    Turn on ignition key, lights turned off. Ammeter should show very slight movement to side. Gas gauge should indicate gas level of tank and oil temperaturę should begin to move slowly towards the normal after engine is started and heats up. This will require several minutes of operation.

3.    When engine is accelerated, ammeter needle should show charge.
