Sink screw head and washer about 1.5 cm below the surface to get the bolt thread to engage morę of the frame.

Drill as deep as you can with a 1" forstner bit, then use a thin long driii to drill a pilot hole through to the other side with a long thin drill, and use that to guide your forstner bit from that side.

This clamp keeps the shaft from sliding forward. Drill a smali hole through, then drill a larger hole through half so that the screw only engaged on the bottom half. Last, cut a slot into the błock.
