FRONT AND REAR BRAKES 14-13
• Flush the master cylinder ports with pressurized air.
• Wash the master cylinder borę and piston with fresh brake fluid.
NOTĘ:
Do not use gasoline or other cleaning solvents to wash the master cylinder parts.
Reassemble and remount the master cylinder in the reverse order of removal and disassembly. Pay attention to the following points:
• Temporary tighten the master cylinder mounting bolts.
NOTĘ:
When remounting the master cylinder onto the handlebar, align the master cylinder holder’s mating surface ® with the punch mark ® on the handlebar and tighten the upper bolt first.
• Tighten the master cylinder mounting bolts to the specified torque.
H Master cylinder mounting bolt:
10 N-m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 Ib-ft)
• Tighten the brake hose union bolt to the specified torque.
H Brake hose union bolt: 23 N-m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 Ib-ft)
• Refill brake fluid and bleed air from the brake system. (C7-14-4)
