To the left, the skewed forms of Coop Himmelblau pavilion have unexpeaedly been chosen to exhibit the museum's collection of old master paintings. In the central part of the structure, near the 60 m high gold plastic laminate-covered "treasury" tower, the bright colors favored by Mendini rule, whereas Philippe Starck's area (the silver drum-shaped section on the image below) opts for a morę muted color scheme.
