GAUGE:

First 2 rounds are one inch diameter measured across dc.

Form loop with end of thread. RND 1: Replacing first dc with 3 ch throughout, in beg loop work 24 dc; up to md 7. join each md

Form 8 petals. altemately work dc and ch Ips following pat diagram. As of md 6. for picots work: I sc in corresp ch Ip. *4 ch plus 1 sl st in ch-4 just madę*, then 1 sc in same ch Ip as beforc. On md 8. replace first dc of First 3-dc cl (see additional symbol) with 2 ch instead of 3; join with sl st in top of first cl and slipslitch to center of First ch-5 Ip.
