a ville nouvtllc or now city, which

was built with very little sense of

urban planmng The new cathedra!

and the square in front of it give

at loast a point of convergence to

the local residents. Here, as in

San Francisco, the architect has used a truncated cone as the mam design element of this Byzantine-plan church, with individually laid bńcks in the simple, powerful interior.
