I THEN print out the same stencil on plain white paper and cut out all pieces of the bird house (front, back, sides and bottom) a little smaller then the original
FIRST I PRINT out the stencil on a plain white piece of cardstock
WHEN I HAVE decided which designer cardstock I would like to use, I use my smaller stencils from step 3 to tracę out on the designer cardstock and then I cut all the pieces out.
USING A pair of scissors and a sharp knife, I cut out the stencil and the hole.
I FOLD IN all edges that are foldable to chalk them with fluid chalk. I then chalked and drew broken lines on the top part of the roof and on all the outer pieces of the patterned paper that are glued to the house stencil. The hole on the front piece of the patterned paper is a little larger then the hole on the actual stencil.
I THEN glue all smali pieces to my main stencil.
FOR THE roof I use black and white cardstock. The black piece I madę 8x15 crrTsand the white piece I madę 8.5xl6cm's, the white card stock was cut out with patterned scissors. I drew a broken linę around the edge of the black cardstock with a white pen.
BEFORE GLUING down the roof, I glued a piece of transparency film to the in-ner side of the hole so that it is covered from the outside. When I glue down the roof, I only glue down one half of the roof because the other side is de-signed to be a lid that opens and closes.
WHEN THE house is glued, I start deco-rating it. I punched out a snowflake us-ing quickutz and attach it to the house with glue just under the front opening and then add a bow and a button just over top of it.
