Volve timing piocedmes

•    Removal/refitting requires:

•    Remove timing belt.

•    Engine at TDC on No.1 cylinder [1 ] or [2].

•    Ensure timing marks on camshaft rear sprockets aligned [3],

•    Remove camshaft front sprocket. Use tool No.3036.

•    Fit chain tensioner/camshaft adjuster retaining tool. Tool No.3366 orT10092 (4] or [5].

NOTĘ: DO NOT oveitighten choin tensionei comshoft odjustei letoining tool os domoge moy occui.

• If reusing timing chain: Mark chain links with paint against timing marks on sprockets [6] & [7].

NOTĘ: Choin link on exhoust comshoft spiocket slightly offset fiom comshoft spiocket timing moik [6].

•    Ensure camshaft timing marks separated by 16 link rollers, with link rollers 1 and 16 aligned with timing marks as shown [6] & [7],

•    Remove and refit chain tensioner/camshaft adjuster complete with camshafts.

•    Tighten chain tensioner/camshaft adjuster bolts. Tightening torgue: 10 Nm.

NOTĘ: Allow 30 mimites oftei instolling comshofts befoie stoiting engine to pievent engine domoge.
