Transverse Link Assembly

REMOVAL

When installing upper and iower end of coi! spring on strut, it must be located and oriented as shown below.

1.    Remove drive shaft.

Refer to Front Axle.

2.    Remove Iower bali joint

using T₀₀|

HT72520000 (J25730 A).

INSPECTION

• Check bali joint for play. If bali stud is worn

and piay in axial direction is excessive or joint is hard to swing, replace transverse link assem-biy.    _r    r?

Turning torque:

"A"    0.15-3.43 N-m

(1.5-35 kg-cm, 1.3 - 30.4 in-lb) "B"    0.15-3.43 N-m

(1.5 - 35 kg-cm, 1.3 - 30.4 in-lb)

Axia! play:

"C"    0.5 mm (0.020 in)

•    Check condition of dust cover. If it is cracked excessively, replace transverse link assembly.

•    Check rubber bushing for damage, cracks and deformation; replace transverse link if neces-sary.

•    Check transverse link for damage, cracks, deformation; replace transverse link if neces-sary.
