This vanation of Ihc Simplificd Harmonie Method of Tidal Prcdiction has been designed pninanly for usc wilh a pockct calculaior. When pcrlormcd in this manner thcic will be no saving m linie requircd to prediet a fuli 24 hours but thcrc will be a slight gam m accuracy (sec also notę 4). However this method is probably quicker when only a short period of prediction is required. and prcdiction at fractions of an hour are easier The box diagram has also been found useful to assist in programming a pockel calculaior and to assist in this somc addilional notes have been added

4. Sum Lines 1 and 2 to obtain days value of Mean Level in Linę 3.
For each cołumn in turn
5. Obtain Linę 6 by subtracting A2 from Al .
6. F.nter 360 n in Lme 7 (Sec notę under section A and Notę 5).
7. Add Lines 6 and 7 to obtain daily ratę of change of A (p) in Linę 8 8 Insert p/24 in Linę 9.
9. Add Lines 10 and 11 to obtain (Al +g) in Linę 12.
10. Subtract Linę 14 from Lme 13 to obtain daily ratę of change of F (P) in Linc 15.
11. Insert P/24 in lane 16.
