Bird droppings
Remove bird droppings by spraying them with full-strength apple cider vinegar. Or pour the vinegar onto a rag and wipe them off.
Use vinegar to deter birds building their mud nests in your facias. When you see that they are interested in building where they are not wanted, drench the area with full-strength white distilled vinegar. They will probably try several morę times to make a nest. Keep spraying the area with vinegar and they become discouraged after several attempts and go elsewhere. Under no circumstances spray the birds.
Brickwork - remove calcium
To get rid of calcium buildup on brick or on limestone, use a spray bottle with half white distilled vineger and half waten thenjust let it set. The solution will do all the work.
Coffee grounds are a great source of nitrogen. Mix the coffee grounds with compost or soil to make a super slow release fertilizer.
Concrete - drives and pathways
Remove stains and unsightly marks by pouring full-strength white distilled vinegar over the area. Repeat as necessary until stain fades.
Mix a solution of 225ml/1 cup of ammonia. 110ml/1/2 cup of white vinegar and 60g/1/2 cup of baking soda mixed in 4 ltrs/7 pints of water. Use a bristle brush or broom dipped in the solution and brush onto the deck to remove mildew.
