COWLING/MUFFLER/REAR FENDER

REAR FENDER

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Remove the side covers (page 12-4) and seat (page 4-3.) Disconnect the taillight/turn signal connectors.

Remove the four bolts and rear fender as an assembly.

Remove the two bolts (Al, and disassemble the rear carrier, turn signal stay and rear fender.

Remove the bolt (B), and disassemble the inner stay and number piÄ…te bracket.

Remove the two nuts and washers, and disassemble the number piÄ…te bracket and taillight assembly.

Remove the two bolts and the license piÄ…te assembly.

Remove the three bolts and inner fender.

Install the rear fender in the reverse order of removal.

TORQUE:

Rear carrier

rear two bolts:

27 N-m (2.7 kg-m, 20 ft Ib) front left bolt:

45 N-m (4.5 kg-m, 33 ft-lb) front right bolt (muffler rear stay bolt):

65 N-m (6.5 kg-m, 47 ft-lb)

Turn signal stay bolt:

27 N-m (2.7 kg-m, 20 ft-lb)
