Self-presentation is to some extent manipulation, well-known psychologist R. Cialdini writes in his books that self-presentation is impression manipulating. People who perfectly mastered the skill of self-presentation know Cialdinis rules of social impact very well. We are deceived by many illusions, impressions, which are not necessarily false, bul when presented well they seem to be morę authentic than they really are.

We encounter self-presentation almost every day: when we meet new people, greet them. during interviews, in such situations we try to present ourselves as best as we can.

Our everyday actions performed towards the other people are most often genuine and unlearned. However learning some rules, ways of acting and tricks may make us morę attractive and competent. That will surely facilitate conducting meetings and negotiations.
